Redoutey Logging Selected as 2007 Outstanding Loggers

Redoutey Logging was recognized by the Scioto Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD) as the Outstanding Logging Company for 2007. Annually, the Scioto SWCD and the Southern Ohio Loggers’ Chapter recognize an outstanding logger for utilizing best management practices to control soil erosion and sedimentation from logging operations. Scioto SWCD Administrator, Debby Basham presented Redoutey Logging with a plaque at the Scioto SWCD Annual Banquet.

Certified as Master Loggers by the Ohio Forestry Association since 1998, Redoutey Logging has become one of the most conservation minded logging companies in the area. Since 2001, the company has purchased two sets of low impact logging equipment to control soil erosion during logging operations. “Their dedication to soil and water conservation is apparent in every job they do.” says Basham. “They set a fine example of how timber harvest operations should be performed.”

Owned by Augie Redoutey and his sons Ryan and Reg, Redoutey Logging has been in business for 27 years. Active in the Southern Ohio Loggers’ Chapter, they have served as president of the loggers’ chapter and currently serve on the loggers’ standards council. In addition, Redoutey Logging has been important in providing training to other loggers.
