2007 Poster Contest Winners Recognized Over 300 fifth grade
students submitted posters to be judged in the Scioto Soil and Water
Conservation District’s (SWCD) Fifth Grade Poster Contest. This
year, students created posters addressing the theme “Water is Life.”
During September and October, Scioto SWCD Educator, Jeff Montavon,
visited Scioto County fifth grade classrooms to discuss water
related issues to prepare students for the contest. |

Jaisa
Maloney from Bloom-Vernon Elementary was selected as the first place
winner. Second place was awarded to Preston Whitt from Northwest
Elementary. Hannah Cunningham from Bloom-Vernon Elementary was
recognized for third place. P.J. Winters, also from Bloom-Vernon
Elementary, was selected as the fourth place winner, and Bree
Osborne from Northwest Elementary was selected as the fifth place
winner.
