Planning to have your timber harvested?
The Ohio Forestry Association (OFA) maintains a Master Logging Program for contractors and their employees. OFA requires contractors to meet the following requirements to be certified as Master Loggers:

    Trained to use Best Management Practices (BMPs) to reduce soil erosion and improve the appearance of timber harvesting activities. 

    Trained to employ safe and efficient timber cutting and logging safety practices.

    Trained in First Aid and CPR. 

    Maintain Workers' compensation coverage on employees 

    Provide liability coverage on request. 

    Participate in Advanced training and periodic recertification training 

    Must be member of local loggers chapter as well as a member of the Ohio Forestry Association, Inc.
