BEGINNING GARDENING CLASS

Are you interested in raising some of your own nutritious, healthy food but are unsure where or how to really get started. Join us and local, knowledgeable teachers who will teach you all of the basics you need to get started in growing some of your own fruits, vegetables, greens and more. Even if you do not have a lot of space, we can show you how you can get started gardening.
Scioto Soil and Water Conservation District is partnering with Watch Me Grow Ohio and Scioto County OSU Extension to offer a series of beginning gardening classes. The next class will cover various aspects of beginning gardening and will be held on April 27, 2023. The event will be held at the 14th Street Community Center located at 1222 14th Street in Portsmouth from 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM.

Classes are free of charge but we ask that you do register for any class you plan to attend. You can register by calling the Scioto SWCD at 740-259-9231 ext. 4 or by emailing info@sciotoswcd.org with your name and contact phone number.
