Wildlife Services
The Conservation District is fortunate to partner with the ODNR Division of Wildlife to provide the services of a Wildlife Specialist to help serve the wildlife needs in Scioto County. The district facilitates the crop damage permits locally as well as offering consult services for wildlife habitat improvements and nuisance animal problems.
In addition to our nuisance wildlife consulting we also offer a live trap loan program and also direct you to the link for nuisance trappers. In the event you come across abandoned or injured wildlife we welcome your call and encourage you to avoid contact with wild animals. It is inadvisable and illegal to take in native wildlife without the appropriate training and certifications. The link to the list of licensed wildlife rehabilitators will help connect you with trained professionals to care for injured wildlife.
Our Wildlife Specialist also offers Hunter's Education courses, Passport to Fishing programs, and Archery programs. To schedule a program for your group or for information about bringing Archery into your school please contact us.
