The Conservation District is an advocate and partner with the Master Logger program here in Ohio. We are happy to connect you with a local reputable master logger to prepare for your timber harvest. If you have any questions about contracts, best management practices, or would like to secure the free services of our local service forester to examine your property's potential please contact us.
There are several programs regularly available that will lend a hand in conservation practices for forest land management and as always we are happy to offer our free consult. Educational programming is regionally available too in forest land management and other great topics like Alternative Woodland Crops which include great actions like cultivating ginseng on your woodland.
Scioto Soil and Water Conservation District also serves Scioto County's Agricultural Pollution Abatement needs. Any concerns with pollution and runoff from Silviculture, or logging sites, please direct to our office immediately.
